  • Spare ribs400g
  • Garlic, minced1 clove
  • Vegetable oil1 tbsp
  • ★Water1 cup
  • ★Soy sauce3 tbsp
  • ★Sake2 tbsp
  • ★Mirin2 tbsp
  • ★Honey (or sugar if unavailable)1 3/4 tbsp

    Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a pressure cooker over medium-high heat. Add 1 clove minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add 400g spare ribs and cook until both sides are nicely browned.

    Add all the ★ seasonings: 1 cup water, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp sake, 2 tbsp mirin, and 1 3/4 tbsp honey (or sugar). Close the lid and cook at high pressure for about 8 minutes.

    Turn off the heat and allow pressure to release naturally. Open the lid and simmer over medium heat until the sauce reduces and becomes glossy. Serve hot.
