Terms of Service

Article 1 (About These Terms)

These Terms of Service (hereinafter “Terms”) set forth the conditions for using all services provided on the CookPaddy website and application (hereinafter “the Service”).

  1. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms, and a usage agreement based on these Terms shall be deemed to have been established.
  2. We may modify these Terms without prior consent of users to the extent permitted by applicable law. Modified Terms shall take effect upon posting on this page.
  3. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  4. Failure to exercise or enforce any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right.

Article 2 (Description of Service)

The Service is a recipe information service that reconstructs and provides popular recipe information from various platforms using AI technology. All text and images are generated and reconstructed by AI, and are not direct copies of the original content.

Article 3 (Conditions of Use)

The Service may only be used by human users who manually operate their devices for the personal purpose of browsing recipes.

  1. Use of the Service is limited to manual access through a standard web browser or our official application.
  2. Access through automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers, scripts, or any other programmatic access) is strictly prohibited regardless of purpose.
  3. Mechanical access via APIs or other means is not permitted unless explicitly authorized in writing by us.
  4. Search engine crawlers are permitted only to the extent they comply with our robots.txt directives. Crawlers that violate robots.txt are prohibited.

Article 4 (Prohibited Activities)

Users shall not engage in any of the following activities when using the Service:

  1. Reproducing, reprinting, redistributing, or republishing all or part of the Service's content (text, images, data, layout, etc.) by any means without authorization
  2. Scraping, crawling, data mining, or any other automated data collection or extraction
  3. Accessing the Service using bots, spiders, scripts, macros, or any other programs or tools
  4. Using the Service's content as training data for AI or machine learning models
  5. Using all or part of the Service for commercial purposes (including preparatory acts, unless authorized by us)
  6. Copying, modifying, reverse engineering, disassembling, decompiling, translating, or analyzing the Service's software, code, or design
  7. Placing excessive load on servers beyond normal browsing, or facilitating such behavior
  8. Circumventing, disabling, or bypassing access control features (authentication, rate limiting, robots.txt, etc.)
  9. Interfering with the operation of the Service or with other users' use of the Service
  10. Infringing on the intellectual property rights, privacy, reputation, or other rights of us or third parties
  11. Transmitting harmful computer programs or making them accessible
  12. Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or these Terms, or acting against public order and morals
  13. Linking for the purpose of facilitating any of the above acts
  14. Any other acts deemed inappropriate by us

Article 5 (Intellectual Property Rights)

  1. All intellectual property rights relating to text, images, design, software, and other content and information on the Service belong to us or legitimate rights holders.
  2. Content on the Service is protected by copyright law, trademark law, design law, and other intellectual property laws.
  3. While combinations of recipe ingredients and procedures themselves are not subject to copyright, unauthorized use of the Service's original expressions, descriptions, and AI-generated images is prohibited.

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

  1. Recipes, nutritional information, and other content on the Service are generated and reconstructed by AI. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding their accuracy, completeness, safety, usefulness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
  2. When preparing recipes, users are responsible for exercising their own judgment regarding allergies, food safety, cooking methods, and storage.
  3. We assume no liability for any damages arising from the use of the Service.
  4. We assume no liability for any damages caused by defects, errors, or outages that prevent the use of the Service.
  5. We make no warranties whatsoever regarding the completeness, accuracy, availability, safety, or reliability of the information and content provided.

Article 7 (Service Interruption and Changes)

  1. We may suspend all or part of the Service without prior notice in the following cases:
    • When performing maintenance on communication equipment
    • When provision becomes difficult due to fire, power outage, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, etc.
    • When suspension is deemed necessary for operational or technical reasons
  2. We may change, suspend, or terminate the Service without prior notice when deemed necessary.
  3. We assume no liability for any damages to users or third parties resulting from the foregoing.

Article 8 (Damages)

  1. If a user violates these Terms and causes damage to us or a third party, the user shall compensate for such damage at their own expense and responsibility.
  2. If we incur costs (including attorney fees) in connection with addressing such violations, such costs shall be borne by the violating user.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
  2. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any disputes relating to the Service.
