Directions

15 min
  1. 1

Bring 600 ml of water to a boil in a small pot, then add the ★ seasonings (sake and salt) and adjust heat to medium-high.

  2. 2

Add about 300g of pork to the pot in small batches. Once the meat changes color throughout, immediately transfer to a colander.

  3. 3

Let the boiled pork cool without rinsing it in water.

  4. 4

Arrange 1/4 head of cabbage and lettuce, carrot, cucumber, etc. (to taste) on a plate, then layer the cooled pork on top.

  5. 5

Drizzle with mayonnaise, sesame dressing, grated ponzu, yakiniku sauce, or your favorite dressing to finish.

Tips

Be careful with the heat while boiling to avoid a rolling boil. Make sure the pork is cooked through completely. Don't rinse the cooked pork in water. If you prefer softer cabbage, try microwaving the vegetables for a moment.
