2 servings- Chicken thighs350g
- Salt and pepperto taste
- All-purpose flour1 tbsp
- ★Whole grain mustard1 tbsp
- ★Honey2 tsp
- ★Soy sauce2 tsp
- ★Lemon juice1 tsp
- Olive oilto taste
Directions
20 min- 1
Use the tip of a knife to poke small holes across the skin side of the chicken thighs (350g), then cut into large bite-sized pieces. Mix all ★ seasonings together in a small bowl and set aside.
- 2
Season the chicken all over with salt and pepper to taste, then coat evenly with 1 tbsp of flour.
- 3
Heat olive oil (to taste) in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook until golden brown.
- 4
Flip the chicken over, reduce to low heat, cover with a lid, and cook for about 2–3 minutes until cooked through.
- 5
Remove the lid and sear both sides until nicely browned.
- 6
Wipe away the excess fat from the pan with a paper towel, then add the ★ seasonings and toss to coat the chicken evenly.
- 7
Once the sauce is fully coated over the chicken, it's ready to serve!
Tips
Browning both sides well brings out rich flavor, but be careful not to overcook as the meat can dry out. Coating the chicken with flour gives it a light crust, and wiping away excess fat before adding the sauce helps the flavors shine through.
