Crispy Pan Crusts with Caramelized Sugar

These crispy bread crusts are so addictive! With a sweet sugar coating, they're the perfect snack - you won't be able to stop eating them!

  • Margarine1 tbsp
  • ★Sugar3 tbsp

    Cut the bread crusts into approximately 1cm cubes.

    Heat 1 tbsp of margarine in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the bread crusts and stir well with cooking chopsticks until the margarine coats everything evenly.

    Add the ★sugar and continue stirring. As the sugar melts and caramelizes, the bread crusts will shrink and become coated.

    Once the bread crusts are golden, fragrant, and reduced in size, remove from heat. Spread on a plate and let cool completely.

Tips

For an even crispier and more fragrant result, use slightly dried bread crusts.
