Crispy Bread Crust Rusks

These little bread crust bites are totally addictive! The sweet caramelized sugar and satisfying crunch make them impossible to stop eating ♪

  • ★Sugar3 tbsp

    Cut two handfuls of bread crusts into roughly 1cm pieces.

    Place 1 tbsp of margarine in a non-stick (Teflon-coated) frying pan, add the bread crusts, and heat over medium heat. Stir with cooking chopsticks or a spatula until the margarine is evenly coated.

    Sprinkle in the ★ seasonings and keep stirring. As the sugar melts and becomes caramel-like, the bread crusts will shrink slightly.

    Once the bread crusts turn golden and fragrant, remove from heat, spread them out on a plate, and let them cool before serving.

Tips

Using slightly dried-out bread crusts will give you an even crispier, more fragrant result.
