Quick No-Bread Morning Burrito Toast

No bread? No problem! This easy burrito comes together in minutes on a busy morning. The chewy batter wraps around ham and melted cheese for a super satisfying bite!

  • Ham3 slices

    Mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 1 cup of water until you get a smooth batter with a slightly thick consistency, similar to pancake batter.

    Spread 1 tsp of mayonnaise across a frying pan, lay 3 slices of ham on top, then pour the batter over them. Cook until the bottom is golden brown.

    Place 3 slices of melting cheese on top, then cook until the other side is also golden brown. Fold in half and it's done!

    Drizzle with ketchup to taste and enjoy.

Tips

If you're using a non-stick (Teflon-coated) pan, you can skip the mayonnaise and still get a nice golden color. Since this recipe uses no eggs or margarine, it's a lower-calorie option. The saltiness from the ham and cheese is enough to season the dish, so it's also delicious eaten as-is.
