Tender Simmered Napa Cabbage and Fried Tofu

  • Fried tofu (aburaage)½ to 1 sheet
  • ★Water120 ml
  • ★Soy sauce1 tbsp
  • ★Mirin2 tsp
  • ★Sake2 tsp
  • ★Sugar1 tsp
  • ★Dashi stock powder (Hondashi)1 tsp

    Chop the 3 napa cabbage leaves roughly, and cut the ½ to 1 sheet of fried tofu into 2 cm wide strips.

    Add the ★ seasonings, napa cabbage, and fried tofu to a pot.

    Cover with a lid, heat over medium heat, and simmer for about 5 minutes after boiling until the cabbage becomes tender.
