Ingredients
2 servings- Potatoes2 medium (about 400g)
- Butter (or margarine)30g
- Milk50 ml
- Salt and pepperto taste
Directions
20 min- 1
Peel 2 medium potatoes (about 400g), cut into bite-sized pieces, and boil until tender.
- 2
Drain in a colander and let sit until the surface moisture completely evaporates.
- 3
Transfer to a bowl and mash with a fork until you reach a smooth paste-like consistency.
- 4
In a separate heat-safe container, combine 50 ml milk and 30g butter. Microwave, checking occasionally, until it simmers.
- 5
Add the warm milk and butter mixture to the bowl and mix well until smooth. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper to your preference.
- 6
If using a smaller amount of potatoes, adjust the milk quantity as needed to avoid making the mash too loose.
Tips
Using butter adds richness and more flavorful depth. Try adding black pepper or garlic powder for a different taste. When reheating, add a little extra milk and warm gently for a creamier texture.
