Slice 1/2 cucumber thinly and also slice 1/4 onion thinly. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on each, let sit for about 10 minutes to release moisture, then squeeze well to drain.

Wash 3-4 medium potatoes thoroughly and boil them from cold water over medium heat with skins on. Cook until a bamboo skewer slides through easily.
