Creamy Japanese-Style Tofu and Avocado Salad

  • Lettuce1/3 head
  • Tofu1 block
  • Avocado1
  • Nori (dried seaweed)optional
  • White sesame seedsoptional
  • ★Ponzu2 tbsp
  • ★Sesame oil2 tbsp
  • ★Mayonnaise1 tbsp
  • ★Garlic paste (tube)about 2cm
  • ★Wasabioptional

    Drain 1 block of tofu and cut it into bite-sized pieces.

    Tear or cut 1/3 head of lettuce into easy-to-eat pieces.

    Cut 1 avocado into 1cm cubes.

    Make the dressing by mixing together ★2 tbsp ponzu, ★2 tbsp sesame oil, ★1 tbsp mayonnaise, and ★about 2cm of garlic paste. For adults, add wasabi to taste for an extra kick.

    Arrange the lettuce, tofu, and avocado in a bowl in that order, then drizzle the dressing over the top.

    Top with nori and white sesame seeds as desired, and serve.

Tips

For the best flavor, add the dressing and toppings just before serving so the ingredients stay fresh and vibrant.
