Colorful Vegetable Salad with a Hint of Dashi

Just boil and toss — and you've got an amazing broccoli salad! The combo of bonito flakes with mayo and soy sauce is absolutely perfect♪

  • Bonito flakes (katsuobushi)1 bag

  • ★Soy sauce1/2 tsp

    Cut 1 head of broccoli into bite-sized pieces and bring a pot of water to a boil.

    Add a little less than 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water and cook the broccoli for 2–3 minutes.

    Drain the broccoli well and transfer to a bowl. Add the ★ seasonings and 1 bag of bonito flakes, toss everything together, and it's done!

Tips

The key to a delicious salad is draining the broccoli thoroughly. Chilling it in the fridge allows the flavors to meld together nicely.
