Silken Tofu with Nameko Mushroom Sauce

The silky nameko sauce coats the tofu perfectly - it's so delicious! This is a lifesaver dish that's light and easy to eat! ♪

  • Nameko mushrooms1 bag
  • Silken tofu1 block (about 300g)
  • Bonito flakesto taste (generous)
  • ★Mirin2 tbsp
  • ★Water2 tbsp
  • ★Soy sauce1+ tbsp

    Spread one bag of nameko mushrooms in a colander, rinse lightly while draining the water, and transfer to a pot.

    Add the ★ seasonings and a generous amount of bonito flakes, then bring to a boil over medium heat.

    Cut 1 block of silken tofu (about 300g) into cubes and add to the pot.

    Simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors are absorbed by the tofu. Done!

Tips

Using plenty of bonito flakes enhances the umami flavor. You can also sprinkle scallions on top for extra deliciousness.
