Warm Tofu with Melting Cheese and Aromatic Black Pepper

Easy microwave tofu with melting cheese and cracked black pepper! This award-winning dish is seriously delicious and so simple to make! ♪

  • Silken tofu1 block (about 150g)
  • Melting cheese slice1 slice
  • ★Coarsely ground black pepperto taste
  • ★Soy saucea pinch
  • ★Wasabioptional

    Pat the silken tofu block (about 150g) dry with paper towels and drain well.

    Place 1 slice of melting cheese on top of the drained tofu and microwave at 600W for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

    Once the cheese is melted, sprinkle coarsely ground black pepper to taste and drizzle a pinch of soy sauce over the top.

    For extra flavor, you can also add wasabi and drizzle with wasabi-flavored soy sauce if desired.

Tips

If you're in a hurry, you can skip the draining step and simply drain any excess water from the tofu after microwaving before adding toppings.
