Crispy Edamame Ready in 5 Minutes

Just 5 minutes of high-heat steaming gives you perfectly plump edamame! Sprinkle with salt and it's the ultimate beer snack ♪

    Rinse 400g of edamame thoroughly and drain well in a colander.

    Add the edamame and 1 cup of water to a pot and close the lid tightly.

    Place over high heat and steam for 5 minutes without lifting the lid. A timer is helpful here.

    After 5 minutes, immediately drain the edamame in a colander and sprinkle with ★salt to taste. Serve right away.

    Note: Firmness varies depending on the edamame variety, so taste one after 5 minutes to check the doneness.

    For IH cookers, adjust to a medium-high heat to prevent burning.

Tips

You can keep the water at 1 cup even if the amount of edamame increases or decreases. As long as there's enough steam rising, you won't run out of moisture.
